James Carlson

CEO & President
Mr. Carlson, who also serves as President for the Company, founded CWT in 1999. Carlson is a recognized designer and entrepreneur in developing, building and marketing fixed-wireless telecommunications systems for remote and rural users around the world. He began building the industry's first products in 1986 at Carlson Electronics and in l990, he founded Carlson Communications, Inc. (CCI) a producer of both point-to-point and point-to-multipoint analog wireless telephone systems sold under the OptaPhone Systems brand name. In 1998, Carlson sold his interest in CCI and it was acquired by Zhone Technologies Inc. Carlson immediately started working with his design team on a new all-digital fixed-wireless technology base from the ground up. In March 1999, he formed Carlson Wireless Technologies, Inc. Carlson has an established track record in wireless startups, including leading R & D to product development, significant growth and profitable sales.

Mike Wilson

Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Mr. Wilson joined the Carlson Wireless Technologies team in 2007. Mr. Wilson received his Civil Engineering degree from San Francisco State University and his Environmental Systems Engineering masters degree from Humboldt State University. In 1994 Mike started HWR Engineering and Science with a partner where he managed all aspects of the business including marketing and human resources. Mr. Wilson was a designer and project manager for numerous projects totaling more than $30 million in capital costs and receiving numerous design awards. His management team procured and supervised over $20 million in grants, loans and contracts. In addition, Mr. Wilson also managed several project related public relations and education efforts. Mike is a Cal State certified P.E. (professional engineer), current board member of the Humboldt Bay Harbor Recreation and Conservation District, Redwood Regional Economic Development Corporation and Friends of the Dunes.

Robert Escher

Manager of VAR and Government Sales
Mr. Escher brings over 16 years of experience in Technical System Sales to CWT. He holds a BA in Geography from San Francisco State University. Before joining CWT 6 years ago, Mr. Escher designed and sold complex alarm, CCTV, and access control systems for Sonitrol Security Systems in San Francisco to a range of industrial and government customers. Prior to that he worked in Manufacturing Engineering for Perkin-Elmer. Mr. Escher has developed an effective dealer network at CWT, and is now focusing on expanding Government Sales with a recently awarded GSA Contract.

Ron Lowrie

Materials Manager
Mr. Lowrie joined Carlson Wireless in January 2007. Mr. Lowrie spent the last seven years with Time Warner Cable, most recently in the Southern California area as Director, Materials Management. At Times Warner Cable, Mr. Lowrie managed an annual procurement budget of $240 million. He is a ten year U.S. Navy veteran with and additional twelve years in inventory control, operations and materials management. Mr. Lowrie is focused on increasing inventory turns and lowering Cost of Goods.

William R McBride II

Director of Engineering
Mr. McBride brings over 20 years of RF and electronics experience to the Company. A sixth generation native of Humboldt County, Mr. McBride spent two (2) years at Phoenix Institute of Technology studying electronics, followed by 11 years in Los Angeles in the broadcast industry specializing in high power UHF, microwave, and satellite communications along with TV production and post-production design and maintenance. He served as the Director of Engineering for the International Channel Networks as a key player in the team that oversaw the company as it grew from eleven to over sixty employees. Mr. McBride returned to Humboldt County to raise his family while he earned a B.S. degree in Physics from Humboldt State University and worked as an electronics engineer, radio technician, and computer consultant. Mr. McBride holds a General Radiotelephone license and Amateur Extra class license N6AI.

Chris Anderson

Senior Software Engineer
Mr. Anderson has been with Carlson Wireless since 2005 and has 30 years of experience in software/hardware systems architecture, design, analysis and commercial software product development. Mr. Anderson has a broad base of product design experience including networking, database, web, development tools, data communications, microcode, etc. with expertise in graphical user interface design and implementation, embedded systems, and 2-D and 3-D real-time interactive graphics. Mr. Anderson attended MIT graduating with a BSEE/CS Program.

Derek J. Kingham

Financial, Operational and Administrative Advisor
With over 25 years experience in complex operations, administration and information technology, Derek is a creative critical thinker and problem solver with a total business perspective.

Derek was born and educated in the UK. He graduated from the United World College of the Atlantic and conducted chemical research at the University of Sussex. In 1979 he relocated to the United States where he has held various full time senior management positions in privately held companies ranging in size from 10 to 600 employees. As a manager he is a proven team builder with the ability to develop and motivate others.

Ed Wisan

Controller
Mr. Wisan Joined Carlson Wireless in August of 2007 as Controller. Mr. Wisan spent over 15 years as an Auditor-Controller in Government and is active in the local non-profit community. Mr. Wisan graduated from the State University of New York with a B.A. in Liberal Arts. He studied accounting, Auditing, Business and Tax Law at Humboldt State University.
